Mustafizur Rahman: News
Born on September 06, 1995, Mustafizur Rahman is a left-arm fast-medium bowler of the Bangladesh cricket team. Popularly known as ‘The Fizz,’ Rahman made his international Test debut in July 2015 against South Africa and One Day International debut in June 2015 against India. He is the first player to be conferred with the Man of the Match in his debut Test and ODI match. In 2015, he made his T20 International debut against Pakistan. As of 2021, Rahman has played 134 international matches. As of 2021, he holds the record for taking maximum wickets (13) in his debut ODI series. He became the first Bangladeshi cricketer in 2015 to be included in the ICC ODI Team of the Year. In 2016, he became the first Bangladeshi cricketer to be named the ICC Emerging Cricketer of the Year. He made his Indian Premier League debut in 2016 with Sunrisers Hyderabad and played for the team in the 2017 edition of the IPL as well. In 2018 he was bought by Mumbai Indians and for the 2020-2021 edition of the IPL by Rajasthan Royals. Between 2016 and 2021, Rahman has played 38 IPL matches.
